This coming weekend is Easter, which, whether you’re a Christian or a regular Church goer or not, is worth remembering is the most important Christian festival of the year. Even if children are not quite as excited by the Easter Bunny as they are by Father Christmas.
Easter is also one of the longest holiday breaks of the year, so it is a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with family, friends and those that are close to you.
Speaking of which, there’s plenty going in Clacton and the surrounding areas if you’re looking for something to do with your family this weekend.
This includes the Easter Egg trail at Hasty’s Adventure Farm, which has recently reopened for the new season. There’s also a family event at the Jaywick Sands Community Forum on Easter Sunday and a free fireworks display at Clacton Pier later that evening, as part of their Easter Extravaganza series of events.
For me Easter will be an opportunity to briefly take a pause and catch up with my family before I return to the election campaign in earnest afterwards.
However you decide to spend your weekend, I’d like to wish you and yours a Happy Easter.
Oh, and if you’d like to have that Chocolate Easter Egg don’t let the Nanny State or the killjoys stop you!
